You'll start at the very top of One World Trade Center, then take the PATH train from the breathtaking Santiago Calatrava designed 'Oculus' transport hub, traveling under the Hudson River to the edge of Jersey City and the magnificent views of the lower tip of Manhattan. Returning by train, you'll then walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, over the East River into Brooklyn to photograph the towering and historic financial district from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Outside of Manhattan is one of the most famous outdoor locations in New York City, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the site of the 1939 and 1964 World’s Fairs We will walk through Flushing Meadows Corona Park to explore the history and examine the present iconic public structures & relics originally constructed for use of World’s Fair pavilions. Most remaining buildings had extensive renovations for present use. This is not true for the park’s two sport stadiums. Off the main promenades constructed for the marvelous 1939 and the more impressive 1964 World’s Fairs you will find the lasting legacy on both Flushing Meadows Corona Park and New York City as a whole.
